On September 28, 2018, Zhu Zhangguanran, chairman of Cathay Pacific Group, attended the 10th Anniversary Symposium of China Overseas Chinese Business Investment Enterprises Association as executive director. Xu Yousheng, Vice-Minister of the Central United Front Department and Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, attended and made a concluding speech, presided over by Tan Tianxing, Vice-Minister of the Central United Front Department.

　　The participants made a positive speech. We reviewed the ten years of the association's vigorous efforts and shared many touching stories in the past 40 years of reform and opening up. We explored how overseas Chinese businessmen transform and innovate and join the "one belt and one road" construction. We also look forward to the new role of the overseas Chinese businessmen in the new era and the future development of overseas Chinese businessmen.

　　After listening carefully to the speakers, Xu Yousheng fully affirmed the work done by the Association of Overseas Chinese Business Investment Enterprises in the past ten years and the contributions made by the vast number of overseas Chinese to China's reform and opening up. "At the early stage of the reform and opening-up that foreign investors hesitated to wait and see, it was the friends of overseas Chinese who took the lead in bringing the funds, technology, talents and management experience urgently needed for the modernization of the motherland, creating countless"China first"and playing an important exemplary and leading role. In the magnificent picture of reform and opening up, the overseas Chinese merchants and the vast number of overseas Chinese are worthy of historical merits.

Xu Yousheng pointed out that the reform and opening up was only carried out when it was not completed. China's reform, opening up and modernization will be deepened and comprehensively promoted on the basis of summing up the experience of the past 40 years. This will undoubtedly bring a broader development space and stage for the vast number of overseas Chinese.
